ParticipantBusy Saturday and Sunday harrowing the food plots. Turning over the clover and other “greens” and seeding the soybeans, millet, sunflowers and peas. With rain on Tuesday – May 17 – and the promise of more this week, the plots should be off to a good start. Taking care of the resource is a part of good stewardship and insures the vitality of the deer population. Keep ’em healthy and the herd will prosper. Just one way of showing gratitude for God’s bounty. Photos should be in place soon. P.S. BBQ at Straw’s was an ample reward for the labor. Try them out if you’re down near Sparta.
