Shooting Range Just for Fun

My dad has a sizable piece of property in North GA and we’d like to take a portion of it and create a shooting range. Mainly we just want to be able to take some target practice and be able to sight in our rifles and such before hunting season.

Has anyone on here done their own shooting range? Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Need a good berm to shoot into or a mountain. My company designed some additional shooting lanes for a Gun Club up in Dawsonville about 10 years ago
