This weekend I finally got around to putting a New Roof on our Outhouse, it had began to leak over the last year. With all the rain this last Season it had become a Real problem. I built this thing about twelve years ago when I bought the Bus property, an I put wood with roll roofing. This time I used a Metal Roof an I have fixed my leak for Good! Thanks to my friend Rodney for helping out. We also had some GREAT BBQ. Another GREAT weekend in Gods County!

Looking Good! Reminds me of the old days. We always looked for old home places when deer scouting. Apple or pear trees gone wild were a good sign that deer would be attracted to the area – and, even if no deer were harvested, we would not go home empty handed. One regular quail covey location, too, was close to a huge pear tree. Might not have been a “partridge IN a pear tree” but there were lots of partridges under the pear tree. Pears the size of a softball and hard as a rock. Not much good for eating out of hand but made the best pear preserves ever. With the size of those trees they might bear this season.
