DEERTRACKER
ParticipantWell January of 2020 I lost a very close friend of mine that I’ve grew up with and was close to most of my entire life. He got very ill due to COVID we believe (this was right before it broke out) and he passed with a week of going in the hospital at age 35. His name was “Bud” and I sure miss him dearly. I also have about 4-5 real close hunting buddies and We all love to bow hunt so we decided to head to western Kentucky and hunt public land. We started our maps scouting in the summer from GA and didn’t get our boots on the ground in KY until October 31st to start our scouting. Well to cut the story a little short that first morning in the tree and about 15 min after sunrise I truly believe God and “Bud” had a surprise for me. Bud knew how much I truly love bowhunting and I know he was smiling watching it unfold. I killed my biggest bucks to date coming in at 144 and to make it all better it was on public land 7 hours from the house. I miss bud everyday but I can’t wait to hear his hunting story’s from heaven someday
