ParticipantHere’s my famous recipe for “Bambi” Chili. No, it’s not made with baby deer…I just like to give my boyfriend a hard time since he’s still waiting to bring home a buck 🙂
It’s simple, easy comfort food. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
Venison (1 lb)
Yellow onion medium
Minced garlic (1 tbsp)
Olive oil (1 tsp)
Chili powder (2 tbsp)
Cumin (1 tbsp)
Cayenne Pepper (1 tsp)
Oregano (1 tsp)
Frozen corn (1 cup cooked)
Crushed tomatoes (28 oz can–I prefer fresh)
Rotel (Small can of diced tomatoes with green chilies)
Tomato Paste (small can)
Roma tomatoes (4 fresh: diced and crushed)
Kidney Beans (1 can drained & rinsed)
Black Beans (1 can drained & rinsed)
Sliced jalepenos (2 chopped)
Hot Sauce (1 tsp)
Salt and Pepper (to taste)Steps:
Sauté chopped onion and minced garlic with olive oil until browned.
Add venison and brown (med heat)
Combine all ingredients in crock pot
