Another one on the wall! Just picked this up a week or so, and got it on the wall! The taxidermist did a very good job, considering the processor cut the cape way too short. Unfortunately i got a greenhorn who cut it and he didnt leave enough skin. My taxidermist said he didnt even know if he had a small enough mannequin to use, but he got it done. The deer looks smaller because of the Mannequin, but it’s my 2nd BUCK, and it was bigger than my first one! Very pretty deer as well, as a very nice coat on it. I’m very satisfied with it! What i didn’t notice when i harvested this deer was it was growing an additional point/horn right behind his ear at the lower side of his antler. It’s about 1/2 an inch in length. Not sure I’d say it’s an 8 pointer, but i’ma call it a 7 & 1/2! HAHAH Both of these deer watch TV all day, and of course they watch the back door as well! Anyone that comes in through the backdoor immediately is welcomed by these fine creatures above my kitchen Bar!
Here’s that Extra Hidden Point that i was referring to! I also think this is the same deer, that i had on Camera at my stand that i put up last year! I didnt kill this deer out of this stand, but it was too far the stand that i was hunting when i harvested him.
