  Well, the wife and I did it. We closed on our piece of Georgia piedmont (Hancock County) dirt earlier this month. No more dealing with hunt club drama, timber leases, etc. Its a clean slate and I get to shape it how I want to. Humble and grateful to have such a place to hunt and enjoy with family and friends. I got water, several hardwood bottoms with mature whites, reds, etc. New pine trees going in at the end of the year.
  Walked it yesterday for the first time since closing. Thanks Huntaholic for all of the help! Found a dead head too, i hope those genetics are rampant!

  Congratulations ! I don’t know what the property looks like but if that Dead head is any indication I bet it’s awesome. I know you enjoy the fact that it’s yours and Nobody can cancel your Hunting Season.
