ModeratorWell I’m sitting here thinking about the old days at Deer Camp, an Old Friend of Mine Don Jones told me years ago to take plenty of pictures at Deer Camp so I could look back and see those great times it was GREAT Advice. Lost my Cousin Brett Martin years ago in a bad accident he’s the One leaning against the hatch looking at the Spike. Don Jones is the guy standing behind the Old Ford F150 he shot off hand and my Great Friend Joe Stadnick is with the BIG DOE we called him Camp Manager, Best Shot with a Rifle I ever Knew. The last picture is Joel Davis and Eight Point Larry with the Deer on the Ground! Notice that Larry only has a regular Shirt No Hunting Camouflage for him he got that name because he killed so many 8pt Bucks. These were some GREAT times in a era gone by. I miss these Guys and those Old Deer Camp Days.

ParticipantGreat reminder about what the outdoor life is all about. Its satisfying to take a trophy buck or a lunker bass or trout but all that is secondary to the time spent with family in the field or hunting buddies. Good but tough to remember those with whom we shared adventures but who are no longer around to add their special spark to hunting or fishing trips. Glad you had those photos to document the good times.
