That was time well spent. Looks like a hen, the drakes would probably still have a little color even after the molt. Hope their nesting was successful and some little wood ducks were added to the population. Maybe next season, with the boxes already in place, both nesting boxes will be occupied. Who says No good deed goes unpunished. Quite a reward for a few hours sloshing around in muddy water.
